Not sure, if anyone is having problems, but all the sites keep getting Problem Loading Page. I cleared my cache, and can view other sites. So is anyone else having problems. I plan to reset my modem, before I leave for a few hours.

Built up to the Oscars

So this time on Monday night the Oscars will have been announced, but I'm hoping to ignore all coverage on them so I can watch delayed broadcast of them on Monday, after probably seeing one of the movies. Out of the 5 Best Picture nominations, I've only seen No Country For Old Men (twice now), but want to see three of the four other nominations (have zero interest in seeing Atonement). Sadly I'm not sure when There will be Blood starts here, but might catch either NCFOM or Juno before the Oscars. I'm so hoping that the Coen Brothers' film takes the major away ... as I adore their latest film.

Something I did at my sister's wedding earlier in the month

Around New Year's Eve, I headed down to Victoria for Sarah's wedding. When there were here, Sarah (my sister), was to give me a reading to do, instead of doing a bible reading, which happens at many wedings. So when I got there, I was given this short passage to read, which she found on the internet.

As some people may know there is a little film coming out next year based on this novel, which is being made by the Coens Brothers. So tonight, I decided to read for a hour or so. And wow .... I want to read more of it, but I'm feeling tired. So far read around 80 pages, and the dialogue is amazing. Planning on reading more later tomorrow night, as I'm really enjoying at the moment.

So it's been a year, since my grandmother died. I am rather sad now, but I'm greatful for the time I had with. But naturally I still miss her, as does the rest of my family.

That is all, as I just write anything else, as I'll start crying, as I remember how I felt around this time last year (as I'd only know for a hour or two)

A weird dream and some Doctor Who commentary

Not sure why I had this dream last night, where somehow I went back 100 years, and my family didn't know happened to me. All the interesting things I would miss from now, but also seeing some historical events, and trying to stay out of the limelight and not change history along the way. It made me think about Blink, and I went to you tube and found the audio commentary for it, and other Doctor Who episodes. Just click on the profile for the other episodes.

A Recent Vision Problem

Today, it seems I've been having some vision problems with my PC. I currently have my monitor set at 1152 by 864, with small fonts. But it seems rather hard to see. I've tried changing the fonts to larger fonts, but that hasn't helped either. Maybe it might be time for another pair of glasses, as I have some sore eyes over the past week, looking at the laptop for the former job. But it's only the PC, where I have problems. Maybe I should try another monitor.

Not happy ... or maybe it's a sign that I'm getting old. :(

First day of the new job is over

Last week, I went allow to this training day for this marketing officer job, to tell people how they can help the environment and save themselves some money on their energy bills. I know I'm above it, but it's work, and after so long of not working, anything is better than nothing. Simply all I'm doing is telling people how they can get free CFL lightglobes, as normal lightglobes are going to be off the market in a few years, and they have an opportunity to get some free ones installed, and they don't have to do a thing. It is an amazing offer. Only people in NSW can get it at the moment, but I do know that the company will be doing it in other states later, so I might stick with it, as it's easy money.

Now to enjoy dinner and Idol.

The NRL Finals so far

Interesting both games tonight, went the way I thought they would, with Manly beating the rabbits, and the Cowboys just beating the bulldogs. Tomorrow, in the grand final replay the Storm should beat the Broncos, who still have many players out injured.

So where to for Parramatta. It looks like if the Storm win, they will play the Bulldogs, and the chance/miracle/Orac Zen becomes a rugby league supporter and the Broncos beat the Storm, we'll play the Storm next week. But, I think we'll play the dogs, and that shall be a good game.

Australian Idol - Semi Finals Night 1 - My Thoughts

So the it's down to the final 24, and first up it's the 6 of the guys.

Matt - great voice. From his first audition, he looked like one of the favourites. Should make it.

Junior - Have no real opinion about him, as talent, but just doesn't do anything for me.

Carl - trying to bring back the swing, but to me, that style of music, just doesn't interest me. It will be interesting to see how he goes over the next few weeks, if he makes it

Daniel - had the best vocal of the group. Not a huge fan of song he sang.

Husny - Left me cold. I hope he is eliminated. Poor song choice was the right call by the judges.

Jacob - finally stepping up to the plate, after missing out a few years ago. I hope he makes it.

A good day ... and now to enjoy the weekend

So it's Friday now. I feel like I have achieved something. Been for two walks, had an appointment which shall change my agency. Have another appointment next week. Continuing to lose weight. Planning on doing another walk tomorrow, as I need to buy more celebrity slim shakes. Have been having some minor back problems, but a good night of sleep should help.

Read an interesting story, about the shakeups, which are currently going on with the Knights team (as I get lots of news from Newcastle), with where I am living now. It shall be interesting to see how they perform over the next few years. I think that the eels got the better deal, as Hagan has been working well as our coach. Losing to the sharkies didn't help, but we can beat the dragons on Monday night. Just need to think about my tips, before doing other stuff online.

What a win by those wonderful eels

What a game. The scum (the new name for the bulldogs) never gave in, but the eels had too much class. The big point in the game was the right call by the video referee. A scum player knocked the ball on in goal. But some of the tries we scored were freaky. Inu is a freak. I might be able to find the highlights of it sometime later for those who can't see it. I'm very happy with the win.
